Just to warn you, this post does not have a cohesive thought process to it. I'm too tired to write nicely.
We had an appointment for Henry today at Primary Children's outpatient center in Bountiful. We'll be working with an OT there twice a month, and they seem really good, so hopefully, we can get something out of that. Gabe couldn't come with us, so he went with Tammy and her kids to the zoo, since it was a free day today. After Henry and I were done, we met them at the zoo, and stayed until closing. It was a really busy afternoon, but nice, despite gross traffic.
Gabe and Henry have both had some big milestones in the past week! Gabe is starting to write by himself. On Monday, I picked Gabe up from preschool, and I started making lunch. Both boys were crying at me for food, and while Gabe was waiting, he started to do some coloring. I could hear him getting frustrated and asking for my help, so I went over to check on him, and found he had already written his own name, and couldn't figure out how the letter M was written. So I helped him write the first M in MOM, but he used the first one to figure out how to do the second one himself. While I went back to do sandwiches, he wrote Dad! I'm really proud of him, and we had a big happy dance for his awesomness!
Henry is doing other awesome things! He has taken 10 steps all by himself, and can say 5 things! He says:
Mama
Dada
Oh wow!
uh oh
OK
I really proud of Henry! He's still pretty wobbly with walking, but he's going to be everywhere soon.I tried to get a video, but they were unsuccessful. Hopefully I can post a walking video next week.
He has started climbing up on this rocker and rocking back and forth while screaming. It's exciting. He's danger man.
That
same day, we found this guy hanging out between the screen and window.
Gabe wanted to open the window to check him out, and I gave an emphatic
"no". Haha. He was big and gross. I'm not sure how he got in in the
first place.

This was at the park Friday morning. It was a beautiful day. We met friends at the park and stayed for hours. We brought a picnic and ate while we played. Henry discovered slides, and is obsessed. The smile every time we went down was adorable. Now I need to find some swings to introduce him to. We don't have any baby swings in our neighborhood. I think it's a big shame. There are way too many babies in this neighborhood not to have swings for them. Also, a little side complaint, they are replacing all of the sandy playgrounds with wood chips, and doing it as if it's a huge service to the community. BOO! I appreciate their efforts, but that poky stuff is too hard to play in. I'm grumpy about it. :( Luckily, this playground won't change. It has the cool, bouncy rubber stuff.
On a completely different topic, we just inherited a bedroom set with three dressers and a nightstand! They are solid oak, and beautiful. They're a little worn down, so they may need a little work, but I'm really excited about them. We got this tall one, a long 9 drawer dresser, and a 2 drawer nightstand. Evan's grandparents are cleaning out, and asked if we wanted them. I gave a big yes!
I also have 3 other projects going on. Haha. I'm working on my headboard, (which I will post when finished) working on a lavender dress for Kista's wedding, and I'm working on inventory for a new business mom and I will start. I also started taking a class on how to use wordpress.org, which allows for a lot more customization than wordpress.com, but you have to know what you're doing. I'm hoping we can eventually use that instead of Etsy so we don't have to give our profits away. By the way, mom we should talk. I've been giving business stuff a lot of thought.
So, I've been busy with a lot of cool stuff. Here are some more pictures:
