Throw Back Thursday

We went through the storage unit in the upstairs
bedroom. We also took all of Sam's stuff
out of his bedroom because Mandy is
making that her room.In Sam's hanging tower
 from Ikea, along with all
 of his special stuffed animals,
we found a whole bunch of CDs with
 nothing written on them.
We were throwing them away when
I had this sudden urge to pop them
in the computer and see/hear what was on them.
Some of them were just burned music.
But.
I am so grateful that I checked,
because what I found on one was
such a treat for all of us!
Look at these precious old pictures!
You are all so cute and little.
Dad and I don't look so bad either.
I hope you enjoy these as much as we did!

These are out at the Sugar Lake house
where we had so much fun with the Froelichs.

These lovelies are at the trailer.
I only included them so you could appreciate
My hair, coat, and jeans.
Ha!

This is Earthway Farm.
You guys loved it there.
I love these so much!
You were all so adorable.

This poor goat is in a headlock.

Cannot even handle the cuteness of tiny Sam.
This would be Fairhaven Farm on
one of our first years there.
Maybe the first ever?

The rest of these are from when we went to Nauvoo
for the temple open house.
It was so horrible hot and humid,
and yet so awesome.
Do you remember having a flat tire on the way there?

This is a particular favorite of mine. I sure love you guys!

Even though I didn't know how to take
pictures yet, (fingers are in many photos)
These made me so happy and
brought back such good memories.
Anyway,
Love you,

MOM

I haven't had this good a laugh in a long time. And it made me homesick which doesn't happen very often.

Family Project??!?

So, I was wasting time on pinterest a couple days ago and found a blog about organizing. This lady had a spare-oom-like basement. AND she was brave enough to post pictures before and after. And I thought, if she can make a big dent like that- so can I. My rooms aren't nearly that bad. I still don't know where to put half my stuff, but if I started I could probably find an easy place for MOST things. I'll have the time soon. And not just to find places for things, but to get RID of things.

And then I thought maybe we could all do an organizing project together! Mom's already working on stuff and so you could just post the stuff you're already doing, or think of something else! That way we have support AND accountability. My kitchen, basement, garage and bedroom are really the things I need to tackle. One at a time of course... haha! Although the blog lady talked about decluttering momentum and that's a real thing.

On another plus side we would have all week to think about what we're going to get done and pump yourself up since none of us have time until after the stockade. I will probably post before pictures, but I don't think you have to if you don't want to. Even if no one else is on board, now you know. If I don't post cleaning pictures a week after the stockade you can nag me for a while until I do it. What do you think? Team effort??

Hello, my loved ones.
I am on a blogging frenzy.
Or maybe I should be completely honest
and call it a photo dump.
That's really what's happening here.
I am putting up pictures from this summer with little thought
or moral. I like to have some kind of words of advice
or worthwhile thought.
This time it's just pretty pictures.

Remember I told you I was going to do a feature called,
"Today in the Garden"?
Well.
I didn't do such a great job with it.
In my defense I took these pictures July 10th.

At the time I was very dissatisfied with them
and with the light in them,
so I never put them up.
I had grand plans to take new pictures.
Ooops.

So if you look at the last,
"Today in the Garden", and compare with these
you will see how much everything has grown.

The Tiger Lillies so lovely in this picture
are long done at this point and
everything is past its prime.
August is here and things are winding up.

My garden is the sorriest one I have ever had.

Still, we have eaten tomatoes and
peppers and dill and cucumbers.

Enjoy the pretty pictures and we will talk again soon.

There are more pictures where these came from.

I hope you are happy and blooming where you are right now.

PS
I brought Sam to concordia College today for AllState.

He was so pumped and is also really excited for college.

Anyways.
Love you tons.
You are the best!!!

This madness is my potato tower

It has grown beyond my wildest expectations

There better be 50 pounds of potatoes in there!
