We've moved!

Hi Family!

So, this is me right now!  I'm 35 weeks and 3 days along, and excited to have this baby!
We went grocery shopping yesterday, and I had A TON of contractions while we were out, so I was starting to get a little nervous, but they slowed down.  So baby's got a little more time to cook. :)

We've decided to name him Calvin Benjamin Wirig, Cal for short.  The name Calvin isn't after anyone.  We just liked the name.  But I have read that Calvin Coolidge was a pretty good president, and King Benjamin was a great king from the Book of Mormon, so I kind of like the fact that he shares names with good leaders from history.  We did choose the name Benjamin as we were reading King Benjamin's address.  Have I ever mentioned how hard it is to come up with names when you have 4 of the same gender??  I'm happy with our choice though. :)  The name feels familiar already.

In other big news, We have moved!  I am so happy with the area.  It's just so green and lush.  I took these from our back gate.

And here is the back yard!

The kids are so happy.  They spend so much of their time outside.  It's also really lovely to have such a nice family upstairs, so the kids have instant playmates.  They've especially connected with the younger boys Bruyn, who is 7, and Sevvy who is 4.  They also have 2 older kids, and a baby girl.

We have also met another homeschool family in the neighborhood has well.  They have 4 kids, and the three older boys almost exactly align in age with our boys.
I'm excited to get to know them better. :)

This picture was taken from the playground.  The picture really doesn't do it justice.  The hills are so green.  The playground is fun too.  It's full of sand, so the boys will have plenty of opportunities for digging.

Here are just a few more pictures we've taken since we've gotten here:

Gabe is obsessed right now! Can you guess who he is?

Henry got busy planting helicopter seeds.

This sweet boy says he is going to be a prince when he grows up.

The boys have a little play space in the back there.  It's a large room.
There is an under the stairs closet back there as well with toys and books.

Henry is THRILLED with his new bed.  It's not super sturdy though.  I think we need to get some wooden beams to go across the bottom, and possibly a box spring.  Henry wants to get a giant piece of fabric for the top so he can have a big tent.

Ollie is a good cookie helper

So, that's what we've been up to!  We're almost totally unpacked, and now we just make new friends, decorate our new home, and wait for Cal to get here!

Hello 2019

Hey Fam Bam!

Guess what?! We haven't posted on the blog for years!!! Mom suggested we start the other day so I thought, someone has to start for us. SO, I've decided everyone should do a life update. (Complete with pictures of course.) Pretty please?

The pictures are from the past month, most are of Teddy cause he's so dang cute!

So as you know Alex, Teddy and I recently moved to New Jersey. Alex hasn't found a job yet, but we're looking. In the mean time he and I are able to kinda work with his mom in her job. She tests Olympic athletes. So basically one of us go's with her to watch someone pee, but we make a good chunk of change. So that is hopefully paying the bills for now. Isn't life exciting?!

Alex has been working very hard to make a nice space for us in the basement bedroom. He spent weeks down there spackling, sanding, cleaning and painting. He is also looking for a job, although still unsure of what he wants to do exactly. Which makes it a little challenging. I just asked him, "What would you say your doing with your life right now?" His response, "Cleaning up the foyer." haha! All of our stuff is kinda everywhere while we try to find a place to store everything.

I am chugging along. Kinda struggling living in New Jersey. It's a very busy, over populated place. I never thought I grew up very country, but living here sure makes me feel like a country bumpkin. Most of the roads are three laned and they are full of people who are in a big hurry. They drive like 15 miles over the speed limit. (P.S. Alex got his FIRST speeding ticket a few weeks ago. Totally not cool though because other people were going way faster. They were targeting us for our Georgia plates 100%.) I will be 13 weeks pregnant on Tuesday I think, so a third of the way! I'm exponentially less sick than I was with Teddy and I'm craving sweets like nobodies business.

Teddy is doing wonderful per usual. He loves having all the attention from so many people. He just recently stopped nursing, which was much harder for me than him... He is getting more independent every single day. His favorite thing to say is Ta-dah, and dada. Dada is his default word he uses if he doesn't know what something is. So often, everyone is DADA! Sometimes even I'm dad hahahaha! He is learning to open doors which is ridiculously advanced. And he is beginning to use silverware, although he stabs food with his fork, gets it on there then takes it off the fork with his other hand and then puts it in his mouth. He is very funny and the cheesiest baby I've ever seen. He will fake laugh really hard, like huge guffaws. It is HILARIOUS and he knows it. He is really sweet and funny.

That's about all the interesting stuff we have for now. We are happy even though life is kinda tough right now.

I miss you guys all the time. I was thinking even if we only post once a month its something! And I hope everyone will post, (looking at you dad and sam). HAHA!! I want to know whats going on with your lives. I'm hoping we can all go out for Gabe's baptism in September so we can see each other.

Love you all!

P.S. This is my mothers day present mom. (Winky face)

No Teddys were harmed in this picture, he was just offended he was picked up.
