Once upon a time there was an awesome family that lived in a
cute little yellow house in Buffalo.
They were very happy and life was not perfect,
but pretty darn good.
Before the nice family lived in the yellow house it was abandoned
and alone for a couple of years.
It was so sad.
During that time it got really cold and the house got some
cracks in weird places.
Like the toilet.
How embarrassing!
The fabulous family lived there for many years and the
house was happy and felt loved again
Until one day the cracks in the toilet started leaking.
And the sink drain started leaking.
And the sump pump quit working.
Oh no!
It was decided that a plumber needed to be called.
And he was.
But he never came!
The leaking got worse.
The family and the house were worried about damage.
Finally after a couple of months and more phone calls
the plumber said he would come.
A few days later he called and said he was coming over after lunch.
Yay!
At 2:00 he called and said he would be right over.
At 3:00 he finally came and only stayed ten minutes and
didn't fix anything.
He assured the family he would be there at 9:00 Monday morning.
The house and family were feeling a bit sad and anxious
about the leaks and the plumber's neglect.
Plus, the mom felt like she couldn't get stuff done
with worrying about a workman coming and going.
They really wanted to get the things fixed and get on with their life.
On Monday the plumber called and said he would be a little later.
He came after lunch, put in a new toilet, and then said,
"Uh oh. we have a problem."
The mom went and looked, and the new toilet stuck out too
far and the bathroom door could not close.
Oh dear!
The plumber said he would have to come
back tomorrow to change the toilet..
And he did.
And the door could close.
So that was good!
That was Tuesday.
He came at 9:30, worked until 11:00,
left for an hour for lunch, worked again until 1:20,
then left for the day.
The mom wondered about these unpredictable plumber's
hours and the house just really wanted to be fixed.
The sink and sump pump still needed attention..
Please plumber, get this work done!
Today is Wednesday and it is the fourth day that the
plumber has been to the yellow house.
The mom and the cute yellow house are hopeful
that this could be the day that the plumbing is
finished and they can get on with their happy lives,
with no water leaks anywhere.
If only it could be so and they could live happily ever after.
Tune in later to get the final chapter of this
aggravating and silly saga.
Sorry for the complain story, but GAH!
Hopefully this story ends today.
I hope your homes are dry and you are happy.
Love you!
Mom
PS The mom had to completely empty her closet
because all of the water stuff in the bathroom backs up
to her closet wall. The plumbers asked her to do this
at their Friday visit. As of Wednesday no plumbers
have ventured near said emptied closet.
I made this part blue to reflect my sadness over
this unnecessary mess, stress and work.
Also, the head plumber guy stopped by on Thursday to just get
the lay of the land, so to speak. So I guess this is actually the fifth day.
