Last of the Family Adventures For a While

Hello, My Lovelies.
Here are the rest of the pictures from our
 time together this August.

It was so beautiful at Beebe Lake, and we just
about had the place to ourselves. The
water was especially green this year,
which is kind of gross, but we had
such an early spring and such a hot wet summer
it just was a constant algae bloom.

Mandy and I got dropped off at the boat
launch across the lake and kayaked across.
Everybody else went straight to the beach.

Mandy and I saw this pretty guy
(or gal) on our way across.

Truly, it was a glorious day.

Mandy was sharing all the good vibes with us.

Emma and I took the boys for a little kayak ride too.
I loved being able to share that with them.

I'm not sure how much Gabe was able to actually see, haha.

We looked so festive on the beach.
Em had her umbrella (ella ella ella)
and Mandy and Mia had one too.

Sadly, the one picture that I took of our whole
beach set up didn't work out.

Chilling and having the snacks.

I definitely look like I am being The Mom in this picture.

Dad showed Gabe how to blow through his
noodle and make water shoot out the other end.
He kept trying!

I could not get enough of Henry playing with this toucan!

He was so intent I couldn't keep up,
so I don't have any face shots.

He was having a good time though!

Emma and Evan relaxing on the bench above the beach.

Ollie was so good!
Such a little trouper!

The Sam, hanging with the Fam,
but so ready to go to college.

It was such a treat to be able to snuggle this darling baby.
He's just so delightful.

And then it was time to go.

This time Dad and I paddled across to the boat launch.

And I got to snuggle some more with Oliver.

That hair though!

And then I got just a couple of pictures at the Stockade.
It was kind of crazy trying to perform with three
little boys with us.

They really were very good.

And Gabe learned to climb a tree.
I think that was pretty great for him.
He hung out in the tree pretty much every set
the rest of the stockade, I think.

I really like this picture of Emma and I.

And that's all she wrote, Folks!

I guess my posts have to be
about my life now.
That's much trickier.
I'll have to get some pictures at handbells
and choir.
And of course I will share mine and dad's
adventures in nature and otherwise.
I found a new nature park I am eager
to explore.

Oh, if you haven't heard, I decided not
to do Pathways. It wasn't a good fit for
me. Disappointing, but there are other
things out there for me to do.
I feel certain.
And Dad is really pushing me to try
write. I feel like I want to try, to see if I
still have anything to say.
Dad and I are doing well. Our lives are
somewhat simpler, so there is a little less stress,
and we hardly ever fight or get crabby.
It's pretty lovely.

Anyhoo...
I love you and am proud of you and excited for
the the adventures you are ALL having.
You're doing a good job human-ing, kids.

Love you like your biggest fan!

First week of school

Hello again family! Sunday seems to be the day that I have time to blog. Part of the reason is that I don't have church till 12:15!!!!! Isn't that just awful. But it means I can get stuff done in the morning. So, it's been an interesting week. I've considered working at Mcdonalds for the rest of my life basically every day. That or running away. I am really riding the struggle bus.  I feel so anxious and overwhelmed with all the things I have to do. I really need to get back into working out as it makes me a more well balanced person. Any whoo, In good news I'm in collegiate singers. That's my happy safe place. It just makes me feel so good to be in there. We had the retreat on friday and Satuday and we did an awesome hike. Here are some pictures:

 Soprano weirdness... haha!

Isn't that view gorgeous? I wanted to stay forever.

Did you find me? Front right haha I mean my pants are fluorescent...

Anyways if I can just calm the heck down I think I might graduate! Otherwise I'm running away to Mexico to open a bike shop....

That all folks.
I love you all and keep posting?
I like to hear what is going on with you guys!

Gabe is Five!!!

We were lucky enough to get to have Gabe in
Minnesota close enough to his birthday that
we could have a little party here.
I can't believe he's five!!!

Gabe wanted his cake to have purple and orange and I don't
even remember what all colors he asked for.
Mima was tired and found a really fun cake
at the store with all of the colors inside.

We all had Batman masks instead of party hats.
We had the hats in the cart and then saw the masks.
No contest!

I think the song may have been too loud.
We didn't even sing the traditional bad version.

Henry enjoyed the festivities as well

There! You can see the inside of the cake if you look close.

Cheesing with my boys.

And there's the cute mom, Emma.

And then came the presents.

Auntie Mandy pretty much stole the day with
her fabulous gift of a marble run that you
can build different every time you use it.
Cool!!

Happy birthday, Gabe Gabe!!
We love you!
