REXBURG: A place of strangely homey basements and killer sidewalks
Well hello there family. It still really hasn't hit me that I live in Rexburg. It's kinda weird. I have been here for a week! I wanted to post of a few of my happenings and what my room looks like.

| MY BED!! WHOO HOO!!! |
So this is my room. It is really quite fabulous. Although I was accused of being a serial killer because I live down there. Personally I don't think it looks like a serial killers lair.... Too many cutsie things. The curtain in the window is going to become a t-shirt dress when I no longer need it as a curtain. It's super cute
fabric.

| MY fabulous table and Closet! |
This Yellow table is soooo cute. I have stored all my random things in it!
So this next one would be my disgust at my toe. Last night after having a fabulously fun day with Mandy I was walking home alone in the dark. Rexburg has horrible sidewalk in some places. And these pictures are the result of Mia stumbling on some evil crumbling sidewalk.
Needless to say it was really gross and TMI: My sandal was COVERED in blood. Freaky!!!!!!
That really is all the rest of anything that has happened so far. Church was great today. It was nice to have somewhere to be and they were overjoyed that I can play the piano! So I am excited! I am going to an ice cream social on Thursday hopefully I can be super social lady. Well until next time! I love you all!
Love,
-Mia

Sweet Family Moments
There are moments- sweet, tender moments- that visit all of our lives. They sneak in quietly while we are busy living, and make us who we are, shape who we become. They come to us, fill us up, make us laugh, make us cry, and change everything in the world.
I remember being in the grocery store and pushing one cart full of children, and pulling another full of groceries. I remember sweet cheeks, rosy with sleep. Going to the purple and green park. Princess costumes. Trips to Thumb Tum (Tom Thumb) to buy gummi watches as please-go-potty-in-the-toilet bribes. Never seeing the bottom of the laundry piles. I remember reading Madeline so many times I knew it by heart. Scrambling for change because the Tooth Fairy needed to come. Buzz Lightyear. Dandelion crowns. Chore lists. Afternoons at the beach. I will never forget sewing Halloween costumes and Easter dresses. Cloverland and the Grandfather Tree. First days of school where I was the one who cried. Concerts. So many concerts. Superhero costumes. Marching band. Art projects. Learning to drive! Braces, prom, dates, friends. Carving pumpkins. Decorating the Christmas tree. The Stockade.
Working together, moving together, laughing together, making music together. Oh, the music! All of the precious moments, together. It was happy. And hard. And wonderful! Fleeting, fleeting moments that feel like forever, and then are past.
There is no way to prepare for how quickly they go.
Just cherish the moments. Revel in them and save them in your heart and mind.
Because in a flash- a turn of the head, an intake of breath- the moment is gone. On to a new one.
There are moments in all of our lives. Sweet, tender moments that are here and then gone, but that change us forever.

Gabe's New House
This is a story about long grass. Sort of. It starts out like this:
Yes, this is our backyard. It is about a foot tall in some places. We haven't mowed in weeks? Months? I don't know. Every time we went over the landlord's house to borrow his mower, he wasn't home, and there were very few times that we actually had the opportunity to mow. I will spare you the excuses, but suffice it to say, we were getting pretty desperate. Finally, this morning, I told Evan, "I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU DO, JUST FIND A WAY TO CUT THE GRASS!" Then I showered and painted, because I was about to explode. Gabe and I haven't been able to go outside and play, and I haven't been able to work in my garden, and it looks horrible. Also, I hadn't gotten much sleep that night, (Gabe decided to wake up right after I laid down) and woke up with Gabe at 6:30 in the morning. I was not a happy camper.
So...
He went out and bought the cheapest mower he could find.
Yeah, maybe not the smartest purchase, but like I said, I was desperate, so I agreed.
It took him forever to assemble it, and then he had to go get gas, and by that time, he had to go to work.
So...
Our lawn now looks like this:
Yes, I know.
This is where things started to turn around. There are major perks to buying a lawnmower. Most importantly,
The Box.
Yes. It was a big box too. :)
Remember last week how we made the Huggies box into a car and attached a steering wheel? Here's a picture for anyone who didn't get to see it.
Cruising around in this awesomeness gave us a whole ten minutes of entertainment. If you've ever hung out with a baby for a long time, you'll know that that's saying a lot.
Today, with the purchase of the lawnmower, Gabe received his very own, brand new cardboard box house!
Isn't it gorgeous? Let me take you on the tour.
That's it.
I was the official decorator. Gabe just brought his toothbrush. Seriously though, he was carrying his toothbrush around when he went inside. :)
Here's a nice window view.
I tried to get a picture with both of us, but it wasn't working very well.
I tried again,
and again,
and again,
and again,
and again,
and again,
and again
and then I gave up.
It was time to move on to other things. His attention span isn't very long, after all.
And he drove off into the... sunset?
Umm, the living room.
Bye-bye!
And, just because I can, I want to show off my new project. I started it a while ago, but I worked really hard on it this weekend, and finished today!
Love you all,
Emma

Prom and NYC
So, my prom dress! Mom and I made it the morning of prom. We are pretty proud of it.
On the car ride to pro the tulle covered three people laps... ha ha ha! It was really fluffy.
I loved it and felt super awesome!
These are pictures of me with Knights in shining Armour! Oh yah! This was at medieval times it was a blast. I think Sam should have this job. He fits the bill perfectly.
I thought he was the cutest Knight!
He was the friendliest and had really pretty eyes.... but.... he lost first. But he was really nice!
This was at an adorable little restaurant in little Italy. I ordered Manocatti? It was delicious and very fancy.
Sorry I am going so fast but I really need to go to bed. I have missed about a nights worth of slepp from my crazy partying life! So, this is hard to see but that bridge in the distance? That would be the bridge Enchanted was filmed on!!!!!!!!!! OH MY GOODNESS!!!!! I was singing along to myself as we walked by.
This is the fountain in central park Enchanted was filmed by!
This just looked appealing and Hey! Thats me!
This was an absurdly expensive meal we had in times square. It was so expensive we all bought something and split between the three of us. It was fabulous! Especially the cheescake!
This was after Phantom of the opera! We were REALLY excited. It was so amazing I practically Cried through the whole show.... ha ha ha! And i got an awesome t-shirt that says Prima Donna on it. It suits me i think!
This is me in a very tall building. Rockofeller? I dunno... I look like a giant though dont i?
There is central park and I just thought this was a good picture. Something you don't see often from me! Ha!
Mia in the radio city music hall bathroom. Seriously look up pictures of the place it is awesome and absurd. There are like two living rooms in there and the furniture is all form the thirties and still in use!
A bad picture of the lobby!
Yup so that is a little bit about my trip. It was super awesome and I have had a lot of fun lately. I get to sing at tri-M Inductions this week!
