This next picture has nothing to do with our pudding food fight, but this week, I was walking home, and there it was, on the sidewalk. AN OCTOPUS!!!!! It was strange, and I thought it was hilarious, so Jackie took a picture of it...

DIRT AND WORMS! caveman style!
Last Monday, our apartment was in charge of FHE. We wanted to something exciting, so we decided to have our treat caveman style. Caveman style means you put the food on the table, not plates or silverware. You eat it with you hands. It was some exciting stuff! This was the end result. It's safe to say, our apartment was much more excited about it than anyone else. And it would be a lie if I said the pudding stayed on the table, there was a small food fight! I even managed to get some in the Thorpe's water bowl...Oops!

Oooops! And this is legit.
We were sitting down to just a lovely meal. Becky Hince brought us dinner because I have
been sick with this ridiculous ear thing. She just does things so pretty! And can I throw in
that I have had some faith in human-kind restored with the kindness I have received during
this? Anyway, seriously lovely meal; Enchiladas, mexican rice, salad, tortilla chips,
salsa, sour cream, strawberries, and ice cream. Wow! I introduced the kids to eating
strawberries with a little sour cream and a sprinkle of powdered sugar.
They were skeptics. Mia very carefully (after much urging from me) dipped her strawberry
in sour cream, then sprinkled it with powdered sugar over her napkin. Sam graciously
dished ice cream for everyone. When we were all done Mia raised her napkin to
her face to wipe it. She forgot it had powdered sugar on it. This is the honest and silly result. Haha!

We laughed so hard and had to get some pics to share.
Enjoy!

A New semester at school!
Hi! This is Mandy :) I thought I would try out this whole blogging on the family blog, just to show everyone what I was up to! So I am in a new semester at school. I'm living in a completely new place, with completely new roommates, and so far I am loving it! I am also super excited about school this semester. I got into orchestra and we're playing Beethoven's 5th. I am playing second horn, I am super nervous, but at the same time super excited! I am really excited about my horn playing this semester. I am going to get so much better, it will be silly :) at least that's what Brother Klein tells me, so that is my goal for the semester. Anyway, I have been having a lot of fun with my roommates, so I wanted to share some pictures. I don't have any from my dyed Easter eggs yet, but there are a couple Easter pictures.
This is our roommate Easter picture :) We're so beautiful!
(In order from left to right: Chelsie, ME, Jackie, Audrey, and Angela. Just in case you were wondering who was who...)

A slightly sillier one...might I add it was super nice today!

Ok, it's a little sideways, but this was our Easter feast minus the potatoes and cake! It was super delicious and we will have left overs forever! Last night (the night before Easter) we dyed eggs and made families of origami turtles. Our eggs were dyed with silk ties, but the pictures didn't make it onto my computer yet, so I'll have to put pictures up later. Mine didn't turn out so well, but the other's were cool. And the next two pictures are of two friends that came over. They were definitely creeping on us if you can't tell...

These next ones were from a couple days ago, but it was fun! Three of my four roommates are taking brass methods, and so they were practicing their mouthpieces. I decided to join in on the fun, also I let Audrey borrow one of my mine so we could all play. We made beautiful music on those mouthpieces!

Special Days Missed
In the flurry of life I have missed so many special days.
This one had home made pizza and cake with chocolate/peanut butter frosting.
Woot!
Just look at this pretty girl!
How can she possibly be 19 already?
Wasn't she just three years old looking up at me with her round turquoise eyes?
This is my lovely Mandy Marie;
marching band fanatic, french horn player,
dissonant chord singer, kitty lover,
puddle jumper wearing, sister-best-friending,
bright color wearer, beautiful singer,
Silly face maker, Mom supporter,
Math doer, make-me-laugh-er
real thinker, creative thinker, most outgoing of all my children,
Happy Birthday late, beautiful girl.
I hope it was a lovely one.
And that the cake and pizza were yummy.
Here's to lots more!
(And yes, I do think it's okay to toast with chocolate)

Baby
Hi, this is Emma. I am looking a lot more pregnant every week now, so I thought I'd post some pictures.
So, they're not fantastic. Evan has been at work all day, so I had to take them myself. I've found that creativity is a must when taking pictures of yourself. This is at 20 weeks and 3 days. I don't really have much else to say. Hope to see another post from MN soon!
